Misaki's early life was marked by constant movement, as he traveled around Japan due to his father's job. This itinerant childhood ended when he joined Nankatsu Elementary School and its fledgling football team. There, he met Tsubasa Oozora, and the two quickly formed a partnership that became known as the "Golden Duo" or "Dynamic Duo" of Nankatsu. Together, they led Nankatsu to numerous Youth National Championships. Later, in the second stage of the Japanese J.League, Misaki played for Júbilo Iwata, leading the team alongside Gon Nakayama (inspired by real player Masashi Nakayama), Ishizaki, and Urabe, to a 2–1 victory over the Urawa Red Diamonds.
